US State Department spokesperson Matthew Miller expressed on Monday that the United States is anticipating civilian deaths from 'Israel's' assault in southern Gaza, but believes the number will be lower than in the north.

During a press briefing, Miller revealed "We do expect to see civilian casualties as a result of this campaign," but emphasized the US clarified to 'Israel' that it does not wish to see the same number of civilian deaths or displacement that occurred in the north.

Miller further claimed that it was "no secret" that the US believed the casualties in the north to be far too many.

While "Israel" claims to be conducting a more "surgical" approach in southern Gaza as advised by the US to allegedly avoid mass civilian casualties, UNICEF spokesperson James Elder revealed on Sunday that the current bombardment of Gaza is the worst since the war began.

Days ago, the Israeli occupation chose to resume its genocide in Gaza, recommencing its aerial bombardment of the Strip. Elder called the aggression on Gaza a "war on children."

Elder made his statement from inside a crowded hospital in Gaza, criticizing the international community's impotence, saying the "inaction by those with influence is allowing the killing of children."

'Israel' concerned, says US withholding info about indirect Iran talks

Earlier Today, the White House released a statement on behalf of Vice President Kamala Harris after she convened with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the situation in Gaza and issues related to PA governance after the end of the war.

Following Harris's departure from Dubai on Sunday from the COP28 summit, the statement read, "The Vice President reiterated US support for the Palestinian people and their right to security, dignity and self-determination. She underscored our commitment to a two-state solution and said that the Palestinian people must have a clear political horizon".

Harris previously expressed that amid "Israel's" legitimate objectives against Hamas, "too many innocent Palestinians have been killed."

The Vice President, it seems, has just noticed that over 6 thousand killed children were too many, as part of the total of over 15,000 Palestinians butchered by "Israel".

US hands Israelis time of mere weeks to achieve 'war goals': WSJ

On Friday, a former deputy national security adviser in "Israel", Eran Etzion, stated that the Palestinian Resistance "has a chance of surviving the war" if the pressure keeps mounting on "Israel" to end its invasion in Gaza.

This follows a statement by US officials that the mounting international pressure could prompt "Israel" to end its invasion by early next year, especially if civilian casualties continue at high levels.

“While the U.S. believes Israel has only weeks left, it’s going to be difficult for Israel to achieve its war goals within weeks,” Etzion said, adding: “It’s a weakness that Hamas has surely identified.”

"Israel" has continued to refuse the timeline it has been given by the US, US officials claimed to WSJ.

The US has sent multiple signals, noting that "Israel" would only have "weeks" in the Strip even though Hamas remains "far from being defeated," Etzion said.
