US strikes Deir Ezzor again hours after first attack
The US has launched a new attack on Deir Ezzor in eastern Syria, just hours after the first attack.
The US helicopters bombarded an area in eastern Syria's Deir Ezzor, according to Mehr news.
This is the second US attack in a row on Syria, following the first earlier on Tuesday. In response to the attack, two separate missiles targeted a US occupation base in the Koniko gas field, northeast of the Syrian province, which the US Central Command announced in a statement. Three US occupation soldiers were injured in the attack.

The United States claimed that it carried out air strikes on Tuesday in Syria's Deir Ezzor against facilities used by "Iran-backed" forces.
Describing the US army's new aggression in Syria as a terrorist action against popular groups and anti-occupation fighters, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kanaani condemned the US attack and rejected any affiliation of the targeted people with Iran.
"The US violation of the Syrian infrastructure and the Syrian people is a violation of the country's sovereignty, its independence, and the unity of its land. We strongly condemn it," he added.
Commenting on the US attack, UN spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric emphasized supporting the territorial integrity of Syria.
What is the US doing in Syria?
Besides being an occupation that backs armed groups for its own operations and agenda in the region, the US occupation forces continue to steal Syrian oil by smuggling it from their bases in Syria to their bases in Iraq.
Convoys of tens of vehicles, including tankers loaded with stolen oil from oil fields occupied by US forces in Syria, are frequently seen crossing toward northern Iraq, in addition to trucks loaded with military equipment.
In one instance, SANA reported that the US occupation forces in Syria looted 89 oil tankers from Syria and smuggled them into Iraq through illegal crossings.
A convoy of 89 oil tanks left from Al-Yaarubiyah, Al-Hasakah Governorate, using the illegal border crossing of Al-Mahmudiyah in northeastern Syria to get to Iraq, SANA also said.
The United States has been for years supporting militias against Damascus, and the US-backed forces are currently occupying parts of the provinces of Al-Haskah, Deir Ezzor, and Raqqa, where the largest Syrian oil and gas fields are located.
The actions carried out by the United States constitute state piracy with the aim of plundering Syria's oil resources and depriving the Syrians of their own resources amid a harsh economic situation caused largely by the occupiers, the Americans themselves.
