The Yemeni Ministry of Justice released a statement condemning the US aggression on Yemen, which has killed and injured more than a thousand people, while inflicting massive destruction on Yemen's infrastructure.
The Yemeni Ministry of Justice and Human Rights in Sanaa issued a statement today, Monday, declaring that the crimes of the American aggression have resulted in the martyrdom and injury of more than 1,300 civilians, along with widespread destruction of infrastructure.
The statement did not address the recent massacre committed at dawn today against African migrants in the city of Saada, northern Yemen, which claimed 114 victims, including both martyrs and wounded.
The ministry denounced the persistent atrocities carried out by US forces, targeting innocent civilians, civilian infrastructure, and properties. This includes the recent airstrike on a residential home in Thaqban, located in Bani al-Harith District within Sanaa, which killed and wounded dozens, primarily women and children.
The statement, carried by Yemen's Saba News Agency, emphasized that "this is not an isolated crime; US forces have repeatedly committed such attacks in Sanaa, Hodeidah, and Saada, flagrantly violating international humanitarian law and treaties."
The statement stressed that these attacks, like past ones, constitute "war crimes against humanity" and called for immediate international action to hold those responsible accountable.
This comes as the US aggression on Yemen continues, with fighter jets bombarding numerous areas across the country, causing casualties among civilians, including women and children
On April 27, as US attacks on Yemen persisted, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that eight Yemeni civilians, including women and children, were killed when US warplanes conducted multiple strikes on Thaqban in Bani al-Harith district.
On April 26, US forces launched a series of intense airstrikes on several Yemeni regions, including Kamaran Island and the Ras Isa oil port in the al-Salif district, northwest of the coastal Hodeidah governorate, which overlooks the Red Sea on the western side of the country, according to Al Mayadeen’s correspondent.
