As the American aggression on Yemen continues, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported on Sunday that eight Yemenis, including women and children, have been killed in the US aggression on Thaqban in Bnai al-Harith district after it was struck several times by US aircraft.
US warplanes had launched six airstrikes on Jabal al-Aswad in Harf Sufyan district, located in Amran governorate, north of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.
In a separate attack, three US airstrikes targeted Kitaf district in the eastern part of Saada governorate, northern Yemen.
Civilian casualties reported in Sanaa
According to the Yemeni Ministry of Health, two civilians were martyred and another injured following a US airstrike on Saturday evening. The strike targeted a residential house in the 14th of October neighborhood, located in Al-Sabain district, south of Sanaa.
The Ministry further reported that nine civilians, including two women and three children, were injured after a US airstrike hit a residential area west of al-Rawda in Bani al-Harith district, north of the capital. The ministry condemned the attacks, which continue to endanger civilian lives amid the ongoing aggression.
Yemeni Armed Forces defy US air superiority
Despite the brutal aggression, the US military has yet to secure air superiority over the Armed Forces (YAF) in Yemen, despite ongoing airstrikes, Fox News reported Friday, citing US officials.
The YAF continue to successfully shoot down high-value MQ-9 Reaper drones, severely hampering US operations.
Since March 3, the YAF have successfully downed at least seven MQ-9 drones, limiting US capacity to conduct surveillance, battlefield assessments, and target key rebel leaders, CNN reported, citing multiple US officials.
Officials noted that the Yemeni Armed Forces are becoming increasingly skilled at targeting these drones, further complicating US operations.
