US to resume offensive arms sales to Saudi Arabia
The decision comes amid all-time-high regional tensions as the US rallies its forces and allies to support the Israeli occupation.
The United States will lift a ban on offensive weapons sales to Saudi Arabia reversing a three-year-old policy that soured ties between the two governments, three sources familiar with the matter told Reuters.
US President Joe Biden's administration briefed Congress on the decision this week, a congressional aide told the news agency. Additionally, Reuters reported that sales of previously banned weapons could resume as early as next week.
"The Saudis have met their end of the deal, and we are prepared to meet ours, returning these cases regular order through appropriate congressional notification and consultation," a senior Biden administration official explained.
Supposedly, the US had taken the previous decision to ban offensive exports to facilitate a deal between Riyadh and Sanaa, however, the Yemeni government in Sanaa has accused the US of disrupting a final comprehensive deal.
It is also worth noting that the Biden administration has launched its own aggression on Yemen, firing more than 135 Tomahawk land attack missiles and launching 7 air raids on the country in which at least 420 missiles and bombs were used to strike Yemen.

US mobilizes all efforts to aid "Israel"
This most recent news comes as the region is pushed into unprecedented tension, after the Israeli occupation assassinated Hezbollah command martyr Fouad Shokor and Hamas leader martyr Ismail Haniyeh, in the Southern Suburbs of Beirut and Tehran respectively, and struck Yemen's Hodeidah port, killing 14 and injuring at least 90.
The Axis of Resistance is expected to sternly respond to these Israeli crimes in retaliatory strikes.
On the other hand, the Pentagon has pushed a number of its Naval and aerial assets to West Asia, positioning a squadron of F-22 fighter jets in the Gulf and relocating Carrier Strike Group 3 to strategic waters in the region.
Several other warships have been sent to the eastern Mediterranean as well as air defense batteries that have been placed in positions to assist Israeli air defenses.
Resistance factions on the other hand have promised to avenge those martyred in the vicious Israeli strikes, which halted all ceasefire talks.
