US warns 'Israel': Aircraft carriers cannot stay indefinitely
Israeli media reveals messages from Washington to Israeli occupation officials, in which the US expressed the Biden administration's satisfaction with its cooperation with Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant.
The Israeli occupation's media Channel 13 revealed a message from Washington expressing concerns about the ongoing war in Gaza and the potential for it to expand into Lebanon and the occupied West Bank, as well as US-Israeli preparations for a possible Iranian retaliation following the assassination of Palestine's Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh in Tehran.
According to Israeli media, US officials informed Israeli leaders that "American aircraft carriers cannot remain in the region indefinitely."
A second US message, according to the channel, conveyed the Biden administration's approval of its cooperation with Israeli Security Minister Yoav Gallant and expressed opposition to his dismissal.
The report also indicated that Washington is considering a unilateral deal with the Palestinian Resistance, following intense pressure from the families of American captives that had been lobbying the Biden administration for months.
The channel speculated that Washington's efforts to secure the release of American citizens might increase pressure on Israeli occupation Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who could be seen as a leader failing to achieve the same for Israeli captives.
American officials stated they are doing everything possible to advance the proposed deal and are awaiting approval from "Netanyahu and his coalition partners."
The demands from the families of Israeli captives holding US citizenship intensified after the Israeli occupation army discovered the bodies of six captives in a tunnel in Rafah, southern Gaza, on September 1. They had been killed by Israeli fire, and among them was American citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who was captured during Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7, 2023.
In this context, NBC News reported that five sources familiar with the negotiations confirmed the White House is seriously considering promoting a unilateral deal that does not involve "Israel".
These sources revealed that the idea of a unilateral agreement emerged after the conclusion that Netanyahu would not reach an agreement with the Palestinian Resistance.
According to NBC News, the families of American-Israeli captives, who met with White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, urged him to pursue a unilateral plan and called for all efforts to be made to rescue the prisoners.
Hamas promises Palestinians, their Resistance not to budge in talks
Palestinian Resistance movement Hamas reaffirms its commitment to the agreements reached following US President Joe Biden's proposal and the UN Security Council's decision on the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, Khalil al-Hayya, a member of the group's Political Bureau, said on Thursday.
"The movement does not need any new documents or proposals from any party," al-Hayya said. "The occupation must be forced to fulfill its commitments."
He stressed that any agreement must constitute an end to the aggression and a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza, including the Philadelphi Corridor and the Rafah crossing.
Additionally, it should ensure the unimpeded return of displaced people to their homes without "any inspections," along with the provision of humanitarian aid, and the reconstruction of the Strip, leading up to a prisoner exchange deal, he continued.
Al-Hayya rejected "going back to square one [in the talks] or being stuck in a cycle," which would serve the goals of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
He reaffirmed Hamas' rejection of Netanyahu's evasions to avoid fulfilling "Israel's" obligations of a prisoner exchange deal.
The senior Hamas official urged the US administration to abandon its "blind bias" in favor of the Israeli occupation and its "unconditional support for this fascist Israeli government."
According to al-Hayya, Hamas leadership, along with other Palestinian Resistance factions, has started communicating with mediators and countries worldwide to clarify the state of negotiations and "Israel's" stalling and evasions.
Finally, al-Hayya promised the Resistance and the Palestinian people that the movement would remain steadfast at the negotiation table "to fulfill the [aspirations] of our people," praising the bravery and will of the Resistance. He also stressed that Hamas would not allow any agreement that "legitimizes an Israeli presence in any part of Gaza or fails to guarantee the rights" of the Palestinian people.
