USS Abraham Lincoln arrives to ME as US tries to defend 'Israel'
The United States bolsters its naval power in the Middle East amid an anticipated retaliation by Iran, Hezbollah, and Yemen for the assassinations in Tehran and Beirut and the attack on infrastructure in Hodeidah.
Joining the USS Theodore Roosevelt carrier, the formerly deployed USS Abraham Lincoln aircraft carrier strike group of the US Navy has reportedly arrived in the Middle East.
With the United States repeatedly announcing that it will protect "Israel" amid rising fear of the inevitable retaliations from Iran, Hezbollah, and Yemen, the arrival of the new carrier strike group serves that purpose.
The USS Abraham Lincoln is carrying F-35 and F-18 fighters on board and is being escorted by a squadron of destroyers, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on X on Thursday.

USS Theodore Roosevelt arrives in US 5th Fleet area of operations
Earlier last month, CENTCOM announced the arrival of the Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group (TRCSG) into the 5th Fleet's area of operations, which includes the Gulf, Red Sea, Gulf of Oman, and parts of the Indian Ocean.
In a post on X, CENTCOM stated, "The Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group (TRCSG) arrived in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations July 12 to deter aggression, promote regional stability, and protect the free flow of commerce in the region."
This comes after in June the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, which was dispatched to the Red Sea to counter the Yemeni Armed Forces' operations in support of Gaza, was ordered to return home after it was dispatched to the region for and after coming under attack by the Yemeni Armed Forces.
On May 31, the spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF), Brigadier General Yahya Saree, announced that the YAF targeted the flagship of the United States Carrier Strike Group 2, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, in response to multiple American-British strikes on Yemen.
