A new survey by Venezuelan firm Hinterlaces reveals overwhelming opposition to foreign military intervention, with 93% of Venezuelans rejecting threats of US aggression and pledging support for their nation’s sovereignty.
The study, based on 1,200 nationwide interviews and a 3% margin of error, found that only 5% of respondents supported foreign intervention, while 2% were undecided or did not answer.
The poll highlights strong public sentiment against foreign interference in Venezuela’s internal affairs. Most respondents expressed readiness to defend the country against any attempt at military action or forced political change.

On Tuesday, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro condemned recent US military deployments in the Caribbean, saying they represent not only a threat to Venezuela but “an international problem.”
During the launch of the National Council for Sovereignty and Peace, Maduro warned that Washington’s actions are aimed at regime change and imposing “a puppet government” to serve US interests.
He recalled that Venezuela has faced “a multifaceted war” from the United States for years, which escalated in August into “an absolutely despicable, criminal, and immoral threat.”
Maduro stressed that Venezuelans are driven by “patriotic fervor and profound love for peace, sovereignty, and self-determination.” He urged all citizens, regardless of political or cultural differences, to unite to resist and defeat the US threat completely.

Cuba's Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, for his part, also spoke about the US threat against Venezuela.
Rodriguez posted on X, "[The] US is creating conditions to justify a military aggression against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, and assesses that the US military deployment in the Caribbean poses a real threat to regional peace, stability, and security."
