Vigilant Hezbollah fighters deal hits to Israeli forces near border
Israeli military positions near the Palestinian-Lebanese border continue to come under the attacks of Hezbollah's fighters.
Hezbollah Resistance fighters continue to monitor and strike the movement and positions of Israeli occupation forces near the Palestinian-Lebanese border.
In two overnight strikes on Thursday, Hezbollah fighters attacked Israeli occupation forces in Hanita and Misgav Am.
The first attack was conducted at 1:15 am (local time) when Islamic Resistance fighters fired artillery shells at groupings of Israeli occupation forces at the Hanita military site.
Hanita is located opposite the town of Alma al-Shaab, near the Mediterranean coast.
Israeli occupation forces have been gathering and launching incursions into Lebanese border villages, however, disastrously failing in such attempts. Several axes of confrontations have been recorded since Monday night, including on the eastern front opposite the town of Kfar Chouba, opposite the towns of Kfar Kila and Odaisseh, and on the western front, opposite the towns of Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab, and another axis extending from the Aita al-Shaab to Aitaroun.
The second attack conducted on Thursday, saw Hezbollah fighters fire a salvo of rocket artillery shells at movements of Israeli occupation forces in the settlement of Misgav Am, opposite the towns of Kfar Kila and Odaisseh.
Earlier on Wednesday, Hezbollah fighters conducted a series of operations and successfully defended against Israeli incursions in Kfar Kila, Odaisseh, and Maroun al-Ras.
At least eight officers and soldiers from the Israeli 98th Division's elite Egoz Unit and Yahalon Unit were liquidated in fighting on the eastern front, the Israeli military command confirmed. Dozens of Hezbollah fighters engaged the invading forces, firing artillery shells at the invading units while other fighters engaged them in direct clashes.
Sources from the Islamic Resistance told Al Mayadeen that at least 80 Israeli officers and soldiers from elite Israeli military formations were killed and injured in combat.
Moreover, the Resistance said that its fighters destroyed three Israeli Merkava tanks near the town of Maroun al-Ras on Wednesday.
These heavy casualties come as the Israeli military command deploys its best commandos, reconnaissance, and combat engineering forces to pan out the attacks on Lebanon. On the other hand, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reports that only Hezbollah's regular forces engaged in operations on Wednesday, adding that elite Radwan forces are yet to be deployed.
