We call on the free people to maintain protests, pressure: Hamas spox
The spokesperson of the Resistance movement Hamas calls through Al Mayadeen to hold protests across the world nonstop and increase pressure to end the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
The Israeli occupation entity continued its genocidal war on Gaza throughout the holy month of Ramadan and the days of Eid al-Fitr, killing thousands of Palestinians in tens of massacres committed across the Strip.
Talking to Al Mayadeen on Friday, Hamas Spokesperson Abdul Latif al-Qanou pointed out that Israelis showed no regard for the sanctity of the blessed month of Ramadan or the rituals of Eid al-Fitr, but instead, they intensified their targeting of civilians and committed more massacres, which stands as further defiance to all international norms, laws, and humanitarian treaties.

"The Zionist occupation escalated its genocidal war against our people during the days of Eid al-Fitr, where hundreds of martyrs fell in the bombing of civilian cars, inhabited homes, populated gatherings, and crowded markets, disregarding the religious sentiments of Muslims and violating the sanctity of their holidays," al-Qanou said.
The spokesperson called on the masses in the Arab and Islamic nations, as well as the free people of the world, "to organize marches and continue demonstrations in support of our Palestinian people and to exert pressure to stop the ferocious war against [them]."
He emphasized the importance of maintaining nonstop demonstrations across the world and "expanding the scope of support and solidarity" to end the brutal war on the Strip.

Concluding the interview, al-Qanou praised and saluted supporting Resistance fronts that are fighting alongside the Resistance in Gaza and affirming its right to defend itself and determine its destiny.
In its latest report, the Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza revealed that the number of Palestinians killed by "Israel" in its war on the Strip since last October reached 33,634, with over 76,000 others injured.
United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres expressed on Monday his "deep sorrow" as Muslims in Gaza facing the Israeli war and other regions witnessing conflicts are unable to fully observe Eid al-Fitr.
"Every year, I express my best wishes for Eid al-Fitr to the Muslim community around the world. My heart is broken knowing that in Gaza, Sudan, and many other places -- because of conflict and hunger -- so many Muslims will not be able to celebrate properly," Guterres said in his yearly Eid al-Fitr message.
With the same sentiment, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) expressed in a statement that it embraced the holiday with a heavy heart due to "Israel's" ongoing war on the Gaza Strip.
