West Bank incursions: detention campaigns and confrontations
The Israeli occupation forces invade various areas in the occupied West Bank and arrest Palestinians, including released prisoners.
The Israeli occupation forces, early on Monday morning, stormed various areas in the occupied West Bank, conducted house raids and searches, and detained a number of Palestinians, among whom were previously freed prisoners.
The incursions into the West Bank, which have been more aggressive since October 7, are being confronted by local Palestinians who have increasingly mobilized and joined the ranks of Resistance factions across the cities, camps, and neighborhoods.
Local news outlets reported that the Israeli occupation forces broke into the house of Khaled Mohammad Abu al-Baha, in the town of Beitunia, west of Ramallah, wreaked havoc, and then detained him. It is important to note that Abu al-Baha is a liberated prisoner who has been repeatedly detained by the occupation and has spent more than 13 years behind bars, seven of which had been consecutive between 1994 and 2001.

The IOF also raided the house of Hamas leader Sheikh Hassan Yousef, in the same town. It is worth noting that Yousef was detained earlier on October 19, 2023, and has a history of detentions in Israeli occupation prisons.

In the town of Meithalun, south of Jenin, the IOF besieged one house, then invaded it and detained brothers Ahmed and Mohammad Fakhri, as well as Noor Iyad Rabaia. Moreover, in the same town, "Israel" detained brothers Nadim and Amir Naaman Nairat after raiding their home.
It is worth noting that in Jenin, heavy confrontations had been reported, and several explosive devices were detonated, targeting invading Israeli occupation forces.
In al-Khalil, several Palestinians were detained, yet only a few have been identified, so far: Jihad Mahmoud Al-Khatib, Hassan Akram Zaghmot, and Ismail Fayek Nassar.
In Qalqiliya, where the Israeli occupation installed an iron gate at the eastern entrance on January 21, Sharif Farraj and Moaz Zaid, a formerly freed prisoner, were detained.

Netanyahu rejects Palestinian statehood, insists on West Bank control
The Israeli occupation's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated his uncompromising position on maintaining full security control over the occupied West Bank.
"I will not compromise on full Israeli security control over all the territory west of Jordan," Netanyahu wrote in a post on X. "And this is contrary to a Palestinian state."

Netanyahu declared that his "insistence has prevented for years the establishment of a Palestinian state that would have constituted an existential threat to Israel."
In addition to emphasizing control over the West Bank, Netanyahu also underscored the necessity of disarming Gaza and bringing it under Israeli security control.
Hours after Hamas published a report detailing the October 7 Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, Netanyahu declared that he had rejected the demands made by the Palestinian Resistance for the release of Israeli captives in Gaza.
