WH: Biden trip to "Israel" not scheduled yet
The Biden administration is considering holding a summit in West Asia in late June.
White House Spokesperson Jen Psaki told reporters on Wednesday that Joe Biden's planned trip to "Israel" has not yet been scheduled.
"We haven't quite locked in the date yet, and so I don't have any further detail at this point," Psaki said during a press briefing.
The White House announced in April that Biden accepted an invitation to visit "Israel."
Axios also reported on Tuesday, citing Israeli officials, that the Biden administration may hold a regional leaders' summit during Biden's tour of West Asia.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and his Israeli counterpart Eyal Hulata met in the White House last week. Hulata raised the possibility of holding a regional summit during the meeting.
