While demanding disarmament, US plans military base near Gaza
The US plans to build a $500M military base near Gaza to enforce Trump’s plan, stripping Palestinians of sovereignty and advancing foreign control over Gaza.

The United States is reportedly preparing to establish a military base on the border of the Gaza Strip, in what appears to be a new phase of direct interference in the besieged Palestinian territory. This comes as Washington calls for the demilitarization of Gaza.
According to Israeli sources cited by the Shomrim news portal, Washington plans to invest $500 million into building the base as part of US President Donald Trump’s so-called “peace plan” for Gaza, which demands Palestinian disarmament.
“The establishment of an American base on Israeli soil shows just how determined Washington is to be involved in Gaza and the broader Israeli-Palestinian conflict,” one source said, reflecting the deepening role the US seeks to play in the region.
Following the announcement of a ceasefire in Gaza, the US set up a Central Military Coordination Center inside “Israel”, staffed with around 200 American soldiers, stationed to allegedly stabilize Gaza.
Washington’s claim of mediating peace in Gaza collapses under the weight of its actions. As the chief financier and arms supplier of the Israeli genocidal campaign, the US not only enabled mass destruction but now seeks to entrench its control through military bases and political engineering, proving its role as a direct participant, not a neutral mediator, in the ongoing occupation.
US-backed ‘New Gaza’ plan draws Arab fury
This also comes as Arab nations push back against a US-supported proposal to rebuild a “New Gaza” within the Israeli-occupied areas of the enclave, warning that the plan could lead to the long-term "partition" and occupation of parts of Gaza, the Financial Times reported.
The initiative follows a US-brokered ceasefire between "Israel" and the Palestinian Resistance last month, which left Gaza occupied along the so-called Yellow Line: Israeli invading units occupy one side, while Palestinians effectively govern the other.
In parallel, the United States is reportedly pressing the United Nations Security Council to adopt a resolution that would formalize President Donald Trump’s "Gaza peace plan" under international law, leaving little room for negotiation, The New York Times reported, citing senior US officials and diplomats involved in or briefed on the talks.
