Why did Hezbollah target the Israeli Malam, Haifa Technical bases?
The two sites are vital for the development of Israeli weapons and systems, as Al Mayadeen's correspondent revealed.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent in southern Lebanon offered an insight on the strategic Israeli sites targeted by Hezbollah in occupied Haifa and the Gush Dan area, in occupied Palestine, on Saturday.
The Islamic Resistance in Lebanon has gradually expanded its scope of attack on Israeli military sites and infrastructure under the "Khaibar Series of Operations." These mostly long-range rocket and drone attacks, come in response to the Israeli massacres targeting civilians and commanders in Lebanon.
The Haifa Technical Base
The first of these Israeli sites that was added to the Resistance's target list is the Haifa Technical Base, which came under two different precision-rocket attacks on Saturday.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent provided the following information on the site.
The Haifa Technical Base is considered a major center for defense-related research and development.
The base focuses on developing advanced technologies in defense. This includes missile systems, aviation technology, military communications systems, artificial intelligence, and other advanced technologies.
Troops serving in the base collaborate with Israeli weapons manufacturers, such as Rafael and Elbit, to develop defense solutions that meet the needs of the Israeli regime's military.

The Malam Military Industrial Complex
The Malam military-industrial complex, located 132 km south of Lebanon's border with occupied Palestine, was the second strategic site targeted by Hezbollah on Saturday.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent provided the following information on the site:
The factory specializes in producing components for the following crucial systems:
- The Iron Dome, which is used to defend Israeli sites against rocket artillery shells, among other weapons.
- The Patriot air defense system, which is deployed against enemy aircraft and a wide array of missiles.
- David's Sling, which is an advanced air defense system designed to protect against ballistic missiles and other aerial threats.
The corporation also develops new technologies for missiles, aiming to improve accuracy and operational range. The complex is strategic to Israeli security, as it works on developing defensive capabilities and providing anti-air systems that eliminate threats to military and non-military infrastructure.
Malam cooperates with a collection of international and Israeli defense companies to develop systems for Israeli occupation forces. Its contribution to the Israeli regime's production of weaponry is estimated at 10%-25%.
