Belt and road and multipolar development
The Chinese president called for deeper alignment between the Belt and Road Initiative and high-quality development strategies. He emphasized safeguarding the UN-led international order, protecting the global trading system, and rejecting Cold War-era mentalities.
Xi stressed that China and SCO member states are building a multipolar system, and urged accelerating the implementation of the SCO Development Bank. “China’s development is always linked to the development of the SCO and the shared interests of our peoples,” he said.
Practical commitments: jobs and training
On the practical level, Xi announced that China will create 10,000 training and human development opportunities over the next five years, aiming to enhance joint capabilities and deepen cooperation within the organization.
