The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) announced a successful missile strike on Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv on Thursday, temporarily halting flights and triggering a wave of panic across the occupied territories.
Brigadier General Yahya Saree, spokesperson for the Yemeni Armed Forces, confirmed that a Zulfiqar ballistic missile was launched at the airport as part of a special military operation.
He stated that the strike achieved its objective, grounding air traffic for nearly an hour and sending "millions of settlers" fleeing to shelters, adding that the operation was executed in direct response to the ongoing massacres committed in Gaza.
Following the missile launch, air raid sirens were heard in occupied al-Quds, while Israeli media reported a large explosion in central "Israel".
Media sources later confirmed a temporary closure of airspace over Ben Gurion Airport due to the strike. In parallel, the YAF carried out a coordinated drone attack using two Yaffa drones against vital targets in occupied Yafa [Tel Aviv Metropolitan Area] and Haifa.
The forces emphasized that this dual operation was part of a broader strategy to confront the escalating aggression on Gaza, urging the Arab and Islamic nations to fulfill their religious and moral duty in the face of ongoing massacres.
Just as Saree concluded his statement, Israeli media reported that yet another ballistic missile was launched at central "Israel", with sirens blaring as air defenses were activated to intercept the missile. Israeli media claimed that the projectile was intercepted.
The overnight operation marked at least the third time the YAF targeted Ben Gurion Airport, signaling a shift toward long-range strategic strikes against key Israeli infrastructure. Previous missile launches, also announced by the Yemeni military, targeted the airport in recent months.
'Haifa Port under naval siege'
On a related note, the YAF announced on Monday the imposition of a naval blockade on Haifa Port in occupied Palestine, declaring the strategic Israeli-controlled port a new target. The move comes in response to the continued and escalating Israeli aggression against Gaza and its blockade-induced starvation campaign.
In an official statement, Saree cautioned all maritime companies whose vessels are docked at or en route to Haifa to treat the announcement and future warnings with utmost seriousness. This escalation follows the successful enforcement of a blockade on the Port of Umm al-Rashrash, also known as Eilat, which ceased operations under Yemeni military pressure.
