Yair Netanyahu hushed up by Prime Minister dad
Although the son of the Israeli Prime Minister has accounts on various social media platforms, he has been largely quiet since he was reportedly confronted by Netanyahu and his wife Sara.
In a bitterly divided "Israel", the occupation's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife Sara confronted their eldest son, Yair, over his controversial statements on social media, and requested that he stop his activities on the platforms, Israeli Walla news reported.
Yair Netanyahu is considered a prominent right-wing activist on Twitter and maintains active accounts on other social media platforms. However, since the Prime Minister announced the temporary suspension of the judicial reform legislation, Yair has unusually suspended his own activity.
Three close sources revealed that the reason for his social media hiatus was a request from his parents, who warned him that he was causing harm and urged him to "calm down" and lower his profile. People close to Netanyahu described the family debacle as an "explosion."
Netanyahu Jr. was spotted at Ben-Gurion Airport at the start of the week, traveling to the US. He is anticipated to stay there for a number of months, according to media reports.
Yair Netanyahu is one of his father's and the Likud Party's most powerful and effective social media advocates, yet his views and statements also ignited anti-government demonstrations and harmed Netanyahu's already damaged reputation.
Netanyahu's son is actively involved in politics and media policy and conduct, according to numerous accounts from intimate friends and insiders in the Likud. Close sources confirm that Yair Netanyahu was one of the forces pushing for the departure of Security Minister Yoav Galant and vehemently opposed the Prime Minister's decision to halt the judicial reforms.

Adding fuel to fire
Recently, Yair retweeted a post that suggests that the US State Department is attempting to topple Netanyahu's government probably on behalf of Iran.
The tweet argued that the US State Department is behind the protests in "Israel", with the aim of overthrowing his father, apparently in order to close an agreement with the Iranians.
Yair Netanyahu also likened the Israeli settlers protesting against his dad's juridical reforms to Nazis last month. He replied to a tweet that stated, "Most of the protesters didn't block roads, rather [the roads were blocked by] small Israeli SA units," a reference to the early forerunner to the Nazi SS units, who were "probably paid, who, as was the case back then, are aided by criminals working within the police and the justice system." He did this by using a lone emoji.
