The Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF) launched a hypersonic ballistic missile targeting Ben Gurion Airport in a precision military operation announced by Brigadier General Yahya Saree.
According to Saree, the operation “successfully achieved its objective,” and the strike was carried out in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their Resistance factions in the Gaza Strip. He emphasized that the attack was part of Yemen’s broader position “against the genocide being perpetrated by the Zionist enemy in the Gaza Strip.”
The strike resulted in the suspension of takeoff and landing operations at the airport for nearly an hour, with “millions of occupying Zionists” forced to take cover in bomb shelters, Saree reported.

Brigadier General Saree reaffirmed that the missile operation was a direct response to the ongoing atrocities in Gaza and the continued siege imposed by the occupation. He underlined that these operations are designed to halt the aggression against the “steadfast and resilient” Palestinian people.
He added that the Yemeni Armed Forces would persist in launching military operations until "Israel" ends its aggression and lifts the blockade imposed on the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, Saree called upon the broader Arab and Islamic world to take a principled and unified stand against the ongoing massacres and starvation tactics being used against Gaza. He urged the region’s peoples and governments to oppose what he described as a genocide committed under global silence.
Air traffic halted, settlers take shelter
Earlier today, the Israeli military confirmed that a ballistic missile was launched from Yemen. The incident triggered air raid sirens in occupied al-Quds and several surrounding settlements, prompting heightened alert across the entity.
According to Israeli media, a push notification warning of a long-range missile attack was sent to settlers approximately four minutes before the sirens sounded. The alert advised Israelis to seek shelter as a precaution.
As a result of the launch, all takeoff and landing operations at Ben Gurion Airport were temporarily suspended. Simultaneously, the Israeli army claimed that the missile was successfully intercepted.
Today's operation came after the Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they launched a hypersonic missile targeting the Ben Gurion airport on Tuesday, reaffirming the aerial blockade on "Israel".
"The Yemeni Armed Forces' missile unit launched a hypersonic ballistic missile strike on Lod Airport, known in Israel as Ben Gurion Airport, in the occupied area of Yafa," the YAF said in a statement.
The missile achieved its mission successfully, forcing millions of Israeli settlers into shelters and halting air traffic at the airport for around an hour, the statement added.
'Over Trump's head'
Israeli journalist Amit Segal, reacting to the incident, observed that the Yemenis had launched the missile just as then-President Trump was delivering a speech in Yemen's neighbor, Saudi Arabia.
Israeli journalist Barak Ravid offered a striking description of the situation, noting that one could practically imagine a Yemeni missile passing over Trump's head as he delivered his speech in Saudi Arabia before continuing toward "Israel". He noted that while the Yemenis had agreed not to fire on American ships, this restriction didn't extend to other American targets.
