The Yemeni air defenses announced Monday the downing of a Saudi coalition armed spy plane over Sanaa with a surface-to-air missile.

Yemeni Armed Forces Spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree confirmed in a tweet that the air defenses managed to shoot down a Chinese-made CH4 armed spy plane belonging to the Saudi Air Force.

On his part, the head of the Sanaa negotiating delegation, Mohammad Abd Al-Salam, considered that sending Saudi spy planes into the airspace of Sanaa is a hostile act in violation of the UN-brokered armistice.

In a tweet, Abd Al-Salam warned the countries of the Saudi-led coalition about the consequences of such provocative and aggressive actions.
