Yemeni Forces strike Greek-owned carrier heading to occupied Palestine
In the northwest of Yemen's coastal city of Saleef, the Yemeni Armed Forces struck a Malta-flagged Greek-owned vessel.
According to The Telegraph, In the northwest of Yemen's coastal city of Saleef, the Yemeni Armed Forces attacked a Greek-owned vessel.
The bulk ship Zografia was on its way north to the Suez Canal when it was hit, according to the Greek Shipping and Island Policy Ministry.
In November, the Yemeni resistance announced its decision to target all Israeli-linked commercial and military ships transiting the Red Sea, or ships heading to the ports of occupied Palestine.
They vowed to continue to do so until the genocide on the people of Gaza came to a complete halt.
Earlier, the spokesperson of the Yemeni Armed Forces, Brigadier General Yahya Saree announced that a US ship was targeted in the Gulf of Aden.
He affirmed that all American and British ships and military units participating in the aggression against Yemen, are considered legitimate targets for the Yemeni Armed Forces: falling within their targets' list.
In a similar context, a member of the Ansar Allah movement’s political bureau, Mohammad al-Bukhaiti, announced that “the axis of resistance has regained control of the region, and the Americans will regret their aggression against Yemen and will lose.”
Over the past week, the US and the UK have been engaged in a series of aggressions targeting Yemeni positions along the Yemeni coastline.
He also stressed that Yemen today is imposing the rules of engagement and is preventing the passage of American and Israeli ships, pointing to the Yemeni armed forces' responsibility for targeting an American warship earlier, “which caused the loss of two American naval forces.”
In attributing the recent escalations to the American and British governments, al-Bukhaiti emphasized the ongoing development of the Yemeni armed forces' missile capabilities, promising unforeseen surprises. He also urged Washington to exert pressure on "Israel" to halt its aggression against Gaza.
Sayyed Khamenei praises Yemeni resistance operations in Red Sea
Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the leader of the Islamic Revolution, hailed on Tuesday the Yemeni Resistance's naval operations in the Red Sea affirming that they have presented remarkable deeds, during a meeting with Friday Prayer Leaders.
He stated that the Yemeni nation and the Ansar Allah Resistance movement damaged the vital channels of the occupation, praised them for not being afraid of the US threats and asserted that what they did "deserves admiration and appreciation".
Sayyed Khamenei hoped that these efforts continue and urged that they would until victory. He emphasized that the world knows that Palestinians are innocent and victorious, as it witnesses the cruelty and crimes of the defeated and disintergated occupation.
Saudi Foreign Minister says de-escalation 'a priority'
On the sidelines of the 2024 Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Tuesday, the Saudi Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan, said, "De-escalation in the Red Sea is a priority," adding that Saudi Arabia is concerned about tensions in the region.
Faisal bin Farhan emphasized that Saudi Arabia "does not see any indication that Israel will stop the war and de-escalate the tensions."
"Our priority is to find a path to reduce escalation, and this is conditioned upon stopping the war in Gaza."
He added that the ongoing war against Gaza puts the whole region at grave risks.
During the annual World Economic Forum held in #Davos, Switzerland, #Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan said that the Kingdom would "certainly" recognize "Israel" as a part of a wider agreement.
