Yemeni Sources for Al Mayadeen: Al-Hudaydah Governorate Expected To Soon Be Fully Liberated
Yemeni sources confirm that all of al-Hudaydah governorate has been completely liberated, with the exception of al-Khoukha district.
Yemeni sources for Al Mayadeen revealed that the withdrawal of the Saudi coalition from the coast is the result of US and Emirati concerns about the developments in Marib governorate.
The same sources added that the withdrawal of Saudi coalition forces from the coastal region came after they realized that its liberation is “the post-Marib liberation strategy."
"The coalition forces want to arrange their positions in the south, in anticipation of a crushing military defeat," the sources said, adding that "the Saudi coalition withdrew all of its forces, including the Giants Brigade, from the coast towards Aden."
They also stated that the army and the popular committees have completely taken control of the coast, with al-Hudaydah Governorate expected to be fully liberated today.
“The final confrontations are currently taking place in al-Khoukha and Hays.”
On Friday, Yemeni field sources confirmed to Al Mayadeen that there are continuous withdrawals of the Saudi coalition forces from the southern and eastern regions of the al-Hudaydah Governorate.
The sources added that the withdrawals included large areas in the districts of Beit al-Faqih and at-Tuhayta in the southern countryside of al-Hudaydah.
The sources estimated the area from which the coalition forces withdrew at tens of kilometers towards the al-Khoukha district in the rural southern outskirts of al-Hudaydah and towards the Mocha district in Taiz.
It is noteworthy that field sources have also reported to Al Mayadeen that the Saudi coalition forces have completely withdrawn from dozens of sites south and east of the city of al-Hudaydah, western Yemen.
The Yemeni armed forces were able to liberate the center of the al-Juba district in the Marib governorate, a few days ago, as the district's sheiks, notables, and dignitaries announced their support for the army and the people's committees, until the liberation of all areas of the Marib governorate.
Deputy Foreign Minister in the Sanaa government, Hussein al-Ezzi, assured that the liberation of the Marib governorate will increase the likelihood of long-term strategic peace in Yemen and neighboring countries.
On his account, Yemeni military and political affairs expert Brigadier General Abdul Ghani al-Zubaidi told Al Mayadeen that Sanaa forces air defenses are improving in repelling the Saudi aggression on Marib.
"The Yemeni Forces and Popular Committees are approaching Marib, and most fighters from seven southern districts in Marib have joined the armed forces to combat the Saudi aggression," al-Zubaidi added.
