Israeli airstrike kills Palestine's Olympic football coach
The Palestinian Football Association has announced the martyrdom of Hani al-Masdar, raising the total number of coaches and staffers killed by Israeli forces to 24.
An Israeli airstrike targeting civilians in the Gaza Strip killed Hani al-Musaddar, the former coach of Palestine's Olympic football team.
The Palestinian Football Association announced that al-Musaddar was martyred in an Israeli air strike that targeted the village of al-Musaddar in the central Gaza Strip.
The martyr played for al-Maghazi and Gaza Sports before retiring in 2018 and coaching Palestine's Olympic football team.
"88 athletes in team and individual sports, including 67 football players have been killed. Additionally, 24 officials from managerial and technical staff lost their lives due to Israel's strikes on Gaza," the Palestinian Football Association (PFA) stated.
The PFA announced sending urgent messages to the International Olympic Committee and all international, continental, and regional federations, urging an "immediate international investigation into the crimes of the occupation against sports and athletes in Palestine."

'Israel' uses Palestine stadium as mass detention center
Western football leagues and the football governing body FIFA, have been especially quiet regarding the continued Israeli genocidal war on the Gaza Strip. Some, such as the Premier League in the United Kingdom have taken action against those expressing their support to the Palestinians.
In fact, there has been no condemnation of Israeli crimes against athletes or sporting sites, such as the Palestine Stadium in the Gaza Strip, which was turned into a detention camp by Israeli occupation forces, who excavated the pitch and denuded minors and elderly, boasting their crimes in videos that spread all over social media.
