Gender Discrimination Lawsuit against PlayStation: Axios
Former IT security analyst Emma Majo says that she was wrongfully terminated "because she is female."
PlayStation is facing a lawsuit alleging gender discrimination and wrongful termination, according to Axios.
In further detail, former IT security analyst Emma Majo is attempting to form a class action suit on behalf of other women who may have been affected by PlayStation's alleged gender discrimination.
According to the lawsuit, "Sony tolerates and cultivates a work environment that discriminates against female employees," alleging that women were denied promotions and were not paid equally compared to male workers in comparable positions.
This comes less than a week after PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan sent an email to employees condemning Activision Blizzard's response to allegations of CEO Bobby Kotick's alleged abusive behavior and history of harassment during his 30 years at the company.
