Snapchat daily active users 100 million more than Twitter

The annual summit has revealed a line of new products in addition to DAUs and MAUs.

    Snapchat presents new products and bigger numbers. 

In a presentation on Thursday, Snapchat revealed that it now has over 600 million monthly users (MAUs) and more than 330 million daily active users (DAUs). 

Snapchat's DAUs are 100 million more than Twitter's, which revealed it has 229 million DAUs on Thursday. 

At the "Snap Partner Summit," an event that happens every year, the company revealed a line of new products and statistics, laying out its roadmap for the coming year.

A new flying camera called Pixy was presented - Pixy is a pocket-sized drone that operates independently without controllers. All the footage that the drone shoots is downloaded directly into the Snapchat library of the user.

Another product, called Lens Cloud, was presented: the product is a new service for augmented reality lenses that enables developers to build and store Snapchat "lenses".

Furthermore, Snapchat revealed a new partnership with Live Nation for concerts like Lollapalooza and Wireless, providing it in augmented reality (AR) exclusive to Snapchat.

A "Dual Camera" was also provided, allowing users to take pictures and videos using the front and the back cameras of their phones, offering new editing tools for content creators. 

Snapchat works with more than half a million partners, creators, and developers that have bolstered its usage over the past year. Its users have shared content from its partner apps 6 billion times on Snapchat.
