Appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, journalist Max Blumenthal challenged US claims behind the attacks on alleged "drug boats", citing polling that shows the majority of Americans reject the operations and the broader push toward "criminal regime change" in Venezuela. He argued that the United States is relying on "WMD-level lies" about cartels and gangs to justify a new regime-change campaign in Venezuela. Blumenthal pointed to US sanctions and coup efforts that destroyed Venezuela’s economy and triggered mass migration, warning that Trump and Rubio are steering the US toward a Libya-style in the Western Hemisphere.
