Putin: Support for Trump’s Gaza plan hinges on 'two-state solution', Palestinian approval

Speaking at the Valdai Discussion Club in Sochi, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Moscow is "generally prepared" to support US President Donald Trump’s latest ceasefire plan for Gaza, but only if it aligns with Russia's "ultimate goal we've always talked about" of creating a "two-state solution". Putin further stressed that any solution must consider the views of Palestinians themselves, including Hamas, as well as regional and Islamic nations. He cautioned that key questions remain over the governance period of the international administration, as well as "how and to whom will power then be transferred."
