Trump’s 2025 Gaza plan aligns with “Israel’s” current strategy to seize Gaza City, displace Palestinians, and entrench control, fueling famine and a deepening humanitarian catastrophe.

There is a connection between what President Donald Trump unveiled back in February 2025 and the present Israeli plot to invade Gaza. The thrust of both strategies is to purge the region of resistance forces that "Israel" deems an existential threat to its expansionist designs.

Trump presented his proposal amid a truce in the Israeli war on Gaza. The policy defined a clear intention to take over administrative control and ownership of the Gaza Strip. The US proposal suggested that Palestinians should be relocated to another region as part of Trump-Netanyahu’s larger strategy for the future of Gaza and its population.

“Israel” is now set to put this plan into action, pushing the Palestinians to seek refuge elsewhere to escape the Zionist state's brutal assault on defenseless civilians. On Thursday, August 21, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu approved the simultaneous takeover of Gaza City, aiming to initiate negotiations with Hamas for the return of captives and a resolution to the two-year-long war that suits "Israel."

He stressed that he remains steadfast in his intention to greenlight plans for taking Gaza City, uprooting one million people, and methodically tearing down Palestinian homes.

The situation has reached an extent that the Gaza Interior Ministry had to issue a warning on Thursday, cautioning that Gaza City could face the same fate as Rafah and Khan Younis, where nearly every aspect of life has been destroyed. It’s been feared that the ongoing drive in the neighborhoods of al-Zaytoun and al-Sabra, following closely on the heels of earlier attempts in al-Shujaiyya, al-Tuffah, and al-Daraj, is part of a well-orchestrated plan of destruction and forced displacement.

Israeli scheme for Gaza?

"Israel" is accurately addressing the points made by Trump earlier, despite facing significant criticism. Tel Aviv revealed its strategy for Gaza, openly referencing the formula President Trump had developed.

The call on “Israel's” grand designs to seize Gaza City in yet another twist of its 22-month war on Gaza has emerged following a late-night huddle of “Israel's” high-ranking officials on Thursday, August 21. The decision was reached despite the growing chorus from around the globe urging an end to the conflict, as well as the heartfelt protests from many in “Israel” who are deeply concerned for the captives still in the Palestinian resistance’s custody.

“Israel's” air and ground offensive has already claimed tens of thousands of lives in Gaza, uprooted the majority of its residents, devastated extensive regions, and pushed the territory towards famine. A major ground operation could potentially disrupt the current situation and exacerbate the humanitarian crisis.

Manufactured Reach, Real Resistance: Gaza’s Attrition and the Fall of a Myth

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously laid out broader ambitions in a chat with Fox News, asserting that “Israel” aimed to seize the whole of the Gaza Strip, although “Israel” already holds nearly three-quarters of the ravaged land. Analysts are biting their nails over this move, fearing it might ruffle the feathers of “Israel’s” top general. They have been sounding the alarm, saying it could put the captives in a tight spot and add more fuel to the fire for the Israeli military, which has already been through the wringer after nearly two years of regional wars.

"It's high time that both the US and Israel face the music for the tremendous destruction and ethnic cleansing unfolding in Gaza," stated Mansur Khan Masud, director of the FATA Research Institute, a think tank nestled in Peshawar. In a chat with Al Mayadeen English, he asserts that the perilous predicament we find ourselves in is a direct consequence of the actions taken by "Israel" and the international assistance it has garnered. He asserted that if global powers didn't step in to crub “Israel's” nefarious ambitions, things could go south in no time. The world’s trusted food security organizations, he added, have already sounded the alarm about a looming famine in the region due to “Israel’s” brutal actions in Gaza.

Situation in Gaza deteriorates

In the backdrop of the US-Israeli conspiracy to drive out the Gaza population, the world’s leading authority on food crises, the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification (IPC), has sounded a warning for the first time that the biggest city in the Gaza Strip is facing a dire famine situation that could spill over into the surrounding areas. The IPC, in its evaluation, revealed that a staggering half a million individuals, a quarter of the Palestinian population in Gaza, are grappling with famine, which is alarming for a multitude of reasons.

In a statement issued on Friday, August 22, the IPC warned that unless there’s a change of heart on the ceasefire front and a lifting of the humanitarian aid restrictions, the situation in Gaza will remain precarious.

The world’s leading food authority foretold that the hunger crisis is set to cast its shadow over Deir al-Balah and Khan Younis by the end of next month. The prediction follows a long stretch of red flags raised by aid organizations, highlighting that “Israel's” tight grip on food and aid flowing into Gaza, coupled with its military actions, was leading to dire hunger among Palestinian civilians, especially children.

The IPC report paints a grim picture, revealing that folks in Gaza City are caught in the jaws of famine, grappling with starvation, destitution, and the specter of death looming large. The report further highlights the alarming pace at which starvation is spreading, predicting a widespread impact on the rest of Gaza by September.

Key indicators reveal that food shortages are affecting 1 in 5 households, acute malnutrition is affecting 1 in 3 children, and daily mortality rates are reaching 2 in every 10,000 people, all due to the harsh realities of starvation, malnutrition, and disease.

Can the Israeli economy withstand a perennial war?

Israeli analysts reckon that “Israel” can’t keep its war phobia going for much longer, as the cracks in its economic front are starting to show. The Israeli economy took a bit of a nosedive in the second quarter of this financial year, but Israeli experts are betting on a turnaround in the current quarter.

Even though the economic signs are pointing to trouble in paradise, Israeli officials continue to sweep the troubling economic issues under the rug. They are misguided, believing that the economy has the potential to recover. The intricate effects of the situation, along with the economic factors at play, require a comprehensive understanding of the war with Iran and its economic consequences.
