Gaza, we are coming!
"Israel" has desecrated the values of Judaism. It has destroyed itself in the eyes of the world as a pariah blood soaked entity. It must be sanctioned, deligitimized, isolated, and deconstructed.

Bringing aid, hope, and solidarity to 2.1 million people trapped under siege (Illustrated by Batoul Chamas; Al Mayadeen English)
I am aboard the Alma on the #GlobalSumudFlotilla to Palestine, together with people from 14 nationalities, braving the sea and defying "Israel's" illegal siege on Gaza, imposed on the indigenous population since 2007.
America, "Israel", and the Global North insisted that Palestinians speak with one voice in negotiations on behalf of the citizens of both Gaza and the occupied West Bank. They wanted the Palestinian Authority to embody that voice. But the people spoke for themselves and chose Hamas through fair and free elections. The response was swift and punitive: an illegal, coercive siege imposed on Gaza. The Zionist regime imposed a unilateral embargo on Gaza by land, sea, and air, confining 2.1 million people to a life of statis, in limbo. Gaza became the world’s largest open-air prison; 2.1 million people lived without real access to the outer world. Today, this prison has been transformed into an open-air death camp, tragically echoing others that history has known before.
In order to end this imposed isolation, land convoys and sea flotillas try to break the siege, bringing aid but more importantly, love, hope, and solidarity.
I first arrived in Gaza in 2010, donating a 13-seater wheelchair-accessible minibus to Al Awda Hospital. I visited the historic Palestine in 2012, al-Quds, al-Khalil, Nablus, Nabi Saleh, and Ramallah. Through my activism and solidarity work, I've visited Syria, Lebanon, and Palestine on many occasions, in addition to Venezuela, Iran, Iraq, South Africa, and the Donbass in what was previously Eastern Ukraine. Having attended the Global March to Gaza in Cairo in June 2025, I now find myself on the SS Alma bound for Gaza.
Why am I here? I could ask: Why aren’t you here?
In fact, the leaders of the Global North, Trump, Macron, Starmer, and others, not only refused to condemn the genocidal ethnic cleansing perpetrated by the abhorrent fascist Zionist Entity, but actively colluded in and contributed to the daily massacres and destruction inflicted upon Palestinians in Gaza on their bodies, their infrastructure, and their civil society. In the face of this complicity, a moral and legal imperative falls upon the global citizenry to step into the vacuum and help bring an end to the genocide.
Trump, with one simple phone cal,l can end the slaughter in less than one minute.
We are sailing to Gaza in full compliance with international law and under the auspices of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
We are a non-violent humanitarian convoy trying to create a maritime lifeline to Gaza, bringing food and medicine. We are determined to break the siege.
This is not about the flotilla… This is about Gaza… This is about the genocide… This is about ethnic cleansing… This is about a rogue, uncontrollable, unaccountable, fascist regime supported by its citizens that values the lives of Israelis above the lives of all others …. This is about a supremacist, racist mindset mirroring past fascist governments, carrying out heinous crimes against humanity in pursuit of a twisted, abhorrent ideology.
"Israel" was established through terrorism, sustained through terrorism, and expands through terrorism. It possesses neither moral nor, in my view, legal legitimacy to exist.
"Israel" has desecrated the values of Judaism.
It has destroyed itself in the eyes of the world as a pariah blood soaked entity.
"Israel" must be sanctioned, deligitimized, isolated, and deconstructed.
Its role in destabilizing West Asia, by creating war and sowing disorder in the region, must end.
I am going to Gaza because my government will not.
I am going to Gaza because the United Nations will not.
I am going to Gaza because if not me, who would go? If not now, when would it be?
If we continue to talk about genocide and do nothing, then we are complicit.
Edward Burke once said, "While good men stand idly by, evil flourishes."
I am not standing idly by. I am on the flotilla to Gaza.
What are YOU doing? Silence is violence, shame on you!
