No Time to Die: New James Bond Movie Breaks Box Office
James Bond broke a record that would be rather hard to break in the future, as it made $700 million globally during the pandemic, making it the second-ever Hollywood movie to surpass that threshold.
Bond 25, also known as No Time to Die, breaks records for pandemic screening by surpassing the $700 million mark, grossing $708 million worldwide.
Aside from F9, which grossed $721 million worldwide, No Time to Die is the second Hollywood movie to make such numbers.
The 25th James Bond film is the most popular Motion Picture Association film in the world for 2021 and the pandemic, which makes it the most popular film since March 2020, with F9: The Fast and the Furious as the runner-up.
With a budget of $250 million, it was expected for the movie to be a hit, especially with the Bond brand seal, but that budget subjected it to pressure to perform well at the box office. Daniel Craig did not shy away from his craft, as 007 went on to receive much praise for his acting, which some said was the best of his career.
The only movies to make more than Hollywood releases throughout 2021 come from China: The Battle at Lake Changjin, and the family comedy Hi, Mom, making $885 million and $848 million, respectively.
