Fox agrees to $12m settlement with former Tucker Carlson producer
Abby Grossberg, the former producer of Tucker Carlson had accused Fox News of fostering a hostile work environment.
Fox News agreed to pay a $12 million settlement to former producer Abby Grossberg, who accused the network of creating a hostile work environment.
On April 25, Fox News announced that the network and its star primetime host have "agreed to part ways." Carlson has worked for Fox News for over a decade and never got the chance to sign off to his viewers as his last show aired on Friday, April 21.
According to Fox News, the network reached the decision to part ways with Carlson a few days after the network reached what was dubbed by Axios a "historic 11th-hour settlement with Dominion Voting Systems for over $787 million."
In May, Tucker Carlson vowed to wage a war against Fox News, with sources saying he plans on launching his own media platform that would rival the network.

Grossberg accused Fox of pressuring her into giving false evidence in the Dominion case and then terminating her when she made her charges public. An allegation Fox News previously denied.
In a second lawsuit, the former producer also alleged that while working as a producer on Carlson's show, she was subjected to a workplace in which workers made sexist and antisemitic statements and participated in sexual harassment.
Some of the workers mentioned in the lawsuit rejected the claims, while Carlson, who worked largely remotely during the time period in issue, told NPR, "I never met her."
In her statement, Grossberg expressed she stands by the charges and is "hopeful", based on communications with Fox that this is a positive step "by the network regarding its treatment of women and minorities in the workplace."
In a statement, a Fox News representative stated, "We are pleased that we have been able to resolve this matter without further litigation."
Sara Fischer, Senior Media Reporter at Axios stated that Grossberg had made public many recordings from her tenure at Fox, and her legal team said she had at least 90 tapes in total.
