Khazali: Dimensions of Upcoming Elections Include Basic Issues
The Secretary-General of Asaib Ahl Al-Haq, Sheikh Qais Khazali confirms that the dimensions of the upcoming elections will include basic issues.
Sheikh Qais Khazali, Secretary-General of the Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq organization, emphasized that the coming elections involve fundamental concerns such as the future of the popular mobilization forces (PMF), the future of the Chinese agreement, and among others, the energy crisis.
In a number of interviews with Iraqi channels, Khazali added that foreign agendas are struggling to outpace the election.
In his interview with Al-Ahed TV, he explained that if the elections are not subjected to external interference, political parties that wish the dissolution of the PMF will lose the bets, and the parties who desire to maintain the PMF will prevail.
The Fatah Alliance, according to Khazali, could bet the winning party, due to their alignment with the representation of public opinion, which is founded in the support of the PMF.

Regarding the normalization conference in Erbil, Khazali boldly declared that the "Erbil conference is worthless, and normalization will not be achieved in Iraq," adding that the Islamic resistance will not be silent about the "treason."
This comes after al-Hardan, who is the head of the Sahwa movement, gave a speech in which he publicly called for normalizing relations between Iraq and "Israel." The speech was in the presence of tribal figures from the governorates of Baghdad, Mosul, Anbar, Salah al-Din, Babil, Diyala.
The Iraqi government expressed its firm rejection of the "illegal" meetings that were held by some tribal figures in the city of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region, which called for the normalization with "Israel."
Regarding the PMF, Khazali disclosed that the Independent High Electoral Commission( IHEC) in Iraq issued a decision to exclude members of the PMF in the vote. On Sunday, the commission explained that the right of members of the PMF is preserved in the general voting.
According to the Iraqi News Agency, the IHEC spokeswoman Jumana Al-Ghalay disclosed that the "IHEC is very keen on the participation of the Iraqi citizens, whether they are voters or candidates; therefore, we addressed the Popular Mobilization Forces to provide IHEC with the name of their personnel, to register them in the special voting lists and issue biometrics cards for special voting."
