Two French citizens detained over Marseille consulate attack
Two suspects were arrested on Tuesday in connection with the explosion at the Russian consulate in Marseille.

Russian Consul General Stanislav Oransky confirmed that two French citizens have been arrested in connection with the terrorist attack on the Russian consulate in Marseille on Monday.
"I got a phone call from the police prefecture yesterday evening that both suspects had been detained at a pro-Ukraine rally in the city center... This morning, news came that they are both French nationals," he told the Rossiya-24 TV channel.

Reports from French media, citing police, reveal that two explosive devices were hurled onto the grounds of the Russian Consulate General in Marseille, with one exploding.

The Marseille prosecutor's office confirmed the detention of two adults but provided no further details. According to regional newspaper La Provence, the suspects were identified during a pro-Ukraine protest on Monday evening.
On Monday, three projectiles were thrown over the perimeter wall of Russia’s consulate in Marseille, France, two of which exploded, according to Marseille police.
The incendiary devices were thrown into the consulate’s garden, and investigators promptly began analyzing the contents of the three soda bottles used as projectiles.
