The Israeli occupation army announced the death of one of its soldiers and the injury of another after the Palestinian Resistance targeted an Armed Personnel Carrier (APC) during the occupation forces' raid of the Nur Shams camp in Tulkarm, in the West Bank.

A reservist sergeant has been killed using an Improvised Explosive Device (IED), while an officer from the Duvdevan commandos unit was severely wounded, according to Israeli media, which published the information under the "permitted to publish" clause.

The report noted that the IED used was homegrown, formed with tens of kilograms of explosive substances, and planted at the head of the street taken by the Israeli personnel carrier. As the occupation soldiers were en route, the device exploded, causing heavy damage.

In more detail, the Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth revealed that a force was sent to examine the path and defuse bombs that could be planted along the path, during the IOF storming of the Nur Shams camp, but had an IED blow up in a Namer APC, causing the reported casualties. A similar incident caused the death of another occupation soldier in Jenin last week.

Israeli forces withdraw from Tulkarm after killing woman, child

Earlier on Monday, an Israeli drone strike targeted the entrance of the Tulkarm refugee camp in the West Bank, killing a child and a woman, and injuring four others, an Al Mayadeen correspondent reported.

The attack occurred as Israeli forces were withdrawing from the Nur Shams camp after a raid that lasted over seven hours, during which they randomly opened fire, the correspondent reported.

Medical sources at Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital confirmed to the Palestinian news agency WAFA that Nasreen Khaled Damiri, 47, and Mohammad Ali Sarhan, 15, residents of the city's eastern neighborhood, were killed in the attack.

The Palestinian Resistance fiercely confronted the Israeli forces following their incursion into Nur Shams camp. Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in Tulkarm claimed responsibility for detonating several pre-planted explosive devices targeting Israeli military vehicles and personnel, inflicting severe casualties upon them.
