Israeli forces withdraw from Tulkarm after killing woman, child
The Israeli occupation forces withdraw from the Nur Shams camp in Tulkarm after killing a woman and a child and inflicting injuries upon four others.
An Israeli drone strike targeted the entrance of the Tulkarm refugee camp in the West Bank, killing a child and a woman, and injuring four others, an Al Mayadeen correspondent reported.
The attack occurred as Israeli forces were withdrawing from the Nur Shams camp after a raid that lasted over seven hours, during which they randomly opened fire, the correspondent reported.
Medical sources at Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital confirmed to the Palestinian news agency WAFA that Nasreen Khaled Damiri, 47, and Mohammad Ali Sarhan, 15, residents of the city's eastern neighborhood, were killed in the attack.
The Palestinian Resistance fiercely confronted the Israeli forces following their incursion into Nur Shams camp. Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades in Tulkarm claimed responsibility for detonating several pre-planted explosive devices targeting Israeli military vehicles and personnel, inflicting severe casualties upon them.
In a separate statement, the Resistance faction reported targeting an Israeli Namir vehicle with two explosive devices near Haifa Bakery before subsequently engaging a logistical rescue force with another explosive device.
The Israeli occupation forces acknowledged that an explosive device had struck one of its Pathfinder vehicles during the operation in Nur Shams camp. Israeli media reported that a soldier was injured in the blast.
Meanwhile, the al-Quds Brigades - Tulkarm Battalion stated that their fighters engaged the Israeli forces with heavy gunfire and explosive devices, inflicting numerous casualties through ambushes they had set up.
The Israeli occupation forces stormed Nur Shams camp on early Monday, imposing a strict military blockade, preventing residents from entering or leaving, deploying snipers on rooftops, and demolishing a house, causing extensive damage to infrastructure and private property.
The correspondent noted that the destroyed house belonged to brothers Mohammad and Mahmoud Zandeeq, which resulted in a fire that damaged nearby homes. Civil defense teams were prevented from reaching the site.
Additionally, Israeli bulldozers destroyed the surroundings of Younis Square in Tulkarm's northern neighborhood before moving towards the Akteba suburb, razing the vicinity of Akteba Square in eastern Tulkarm and demolishing the remaining parts of Martyr Saif Abu Labda Square along the street adjacent to the camp.
Assassination in Tulkarm
The Israeli occupation assassinated Sunday a Resistance fighter by bombing a house he was in, in Tulkarm, northern West Bank, as per Al Mayadeen's correspondent in occupied Palestine.
In detail, our correspondent reported that an Israeli drone fired at a house in the al-Manshiyya neighborhood in the Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarm this afternoon, killing at least one Palestinian and injuring five others.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health confirmed that one youth was martyred and five others were injured (including two in critical condition) as a result of the Israeli bombing of the Nur Shams camp. They were all transferred to the Tulkarm Governmental Hospital.
Palestinian sources reported that the martyr, identified as Saeed al-Jaber, is a Resistance fighter from the al-Quds Brigades in Tulkarm, stressing that al-Jaber had survived several assassination attempts by the Israeli occupation.
It is worth noting that drone strikes, along with airstrikes in general, were once rare in the occupied West Bank. However, since the Israeli genocide against Palestinians in Gaza began on October 7, their frequency has increased sharply, coinciding with almost continuous Israeli raids in occupied towns.
Furthermore, our correspondent reported that special Israeli forces stormed the al-Far'a refugee camp, situated south of the Tubas Governorate, in the northeastern part of the occupied West Bank.
Ahead of the assassination, Israeli occupation forces stormed multiple areas across the West Bank overnight Sunday, assaulting Palestinians while entering towns. The incursions were faced with heavy resistance and confrontations erupted in several cities.
Israeli occupation forces deployed military vehicles to conduct operations in neighborhoods and streets across Nablus, where tear gas canisters were fired into Palestinian homes, resulting in fires in nearby agricultural areas, though no injuries were reported, according to eyewitnesses.
