Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat announced that it had received six martyrs and 10 wounded in recent hours after Israeli forces bombed a gathering at an aid distribution point south of Wadi Gaza in the central Strip. Several other sites were also targeted.
According to Al Mayadeen's correspondent, one Palestinian was killed and others were injured when Israeli aircraft struck people near the Old Town Mosque in Deir al-Balah. In southern Gaza, two Palestinians were killed and others were wounded when Israeli forces shelled a tent housing displaced families in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis.
Intensified bombardment on Gaza City
Israeli artillery fire struck the area around the Soussi junction in al-Shati refugee camp, west of Gaza City, injuring several Palestinians. The correspondent also reported that occupation forces demolished residential homes north of Gaza City.
The al-Saraya field hospital confirmed it had treated six people injured by Israeli shelling on al-Jalaa Street in Gaza City earlier today. Meanwhile, Israeli forces detonated two booby-trapped armored vehicles packed with tons of explosives to destroy homes south of the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood.
The Government Media Office in Gaza stressed that more than one million Palestinians remain rooted in Gaza City and the north, refusing to comply with Israeli attempts at permanent forced displacement.
Despite the destruction, some 15,000 people have even returned north after initially fleeing south, citing the lack of food, water, shelter, and medical care in areas designated as "safe zones." The office condemned "Israel's" effort to confine 1.7 million people into 12% of the Strip, describing it as a policy of systematic expulsion and the creation of "concentration camps."
Famine among the youngest
Meanwhile, the siege and bombardment continue to take a devastating toll on Gaza's children. Doctors warn that severe malnutrition is rampant, with health workers recording upper-arm circumferences below emergency thresholds in children under five. Al Mayadeen earlier reported the deaths of four fetuses and three premature babies at al-Nasser Medical Complex due to starvation, while UN-backed experts declared Gaza City officially under famine in July.
Medical staff describe scenes of silent wards where many children are too weak to cry. Survivors of severe malnutrition face long-term damage to organs, bones, and brain development. Doctors stress that treatment is complex, requiring carefully measured therapeutic foods, supplies that remain blocked or trickling in only sporadically.
