'Israel' fears Al Mayadeen, ban will increase its standing: Karimian
The Secretary-General of the Islamic Radio and Television Union says Al Mayadeen and other media outlets have succeeded in conveying the voice of the oppressed and the vulnerable.
The Secretary-General of the Islamic Radio and Television Union, Sheikh Ali Karimian, said on Wednesday that the ban that the Israeli occupation imposed on Al Mayadeen Media Network is evidence that "Israel", the forces of arrogance, and the West do not adhere to international laws and norms.
In an interview with Al Mayadeen, Karimian pointed out that the Israeli ban on Al Mayadeen Media Network offices in the occupied Palestinian territories does not diminish its value but will further increase its standing.
He added that the Israeli occupation and the United States have tightened the noose on credible and transparent channels, including Al Mayadeen, which has become today a trusted source for people around the world of all affiliations.
He stressed that Al Mayadeen and other media outlets have succeeded in conveying the voice of the oppressed and the vulnerable, as well as the voice of the great, patient, resistant, and powerful Palestinian people.
Karimian underlined that attempts to silence this voice are doomed to fail, therefore, the Zionists are angry and have shut down Al Mayadeen's offices in occupied Palestine.
He noted that after the Palestinian Resistance launched Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, it became clear that one of the most prominent victories in the field is the superiority of the Resistance's narrative over the Zionist narrative.
According to Karimian, Al Mayadeen Media Network today has a global impact, adding that the Zionists fear Al Mayadeen and similar media outlets more than they fear the war.
He believed that this proves that Al Mayadeen Media Network is defending the oppressed and vulnerable worldwide, emphasizing that Al Mayadeen's Chairman Ghassan Ben Jeddou and the network's employees must be congratulated on this victory, especially correspondents in occupied Palestine who were prevented by the Israeli occupation from practicing their work.
In the same context, Karimian noted that despite all that the Israeli occupation and the United States possess in terms of media capabilities in the world, they have not been able to validate their false narrative.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mayadeen Media Network, Ghassan Ben Jeddou, said on Wednesday that the strivers working in Al Mayadeen were very well aware since day one that the network would be exposed to a lot of risks.
In a speech during a stand of solidarity with the network held in Beirut, Ben Jeddou revealed that the Israeli decision against Al Mayadeen came in collusion with three Arab sides.
He addressed the Israeli occupation, saying that the step of silencing Al Mayadeen came out too late and that the decision to ban the network was made "because we are influential."
"We have transcended to become an unyielding concept," he stressed.

Ben Jeddou concluded his speech with a challenging promise to “Israel”, whereby he said, "I promise 'Israel' that it will soon witness a new platform that confronts it with more ferocity and clarity. When Al Mayadeen expands to include your language, you Zionists, the battle between us will grow more brutal."
On November 13, the Israeli war cabinet approved regulations that would allow the occupation government to ban and shut down Al Mayadeen Media Network, which comprises a foreign channel as per the Israeli emergency regulations descriptions and broadcasts in "Israel" in three languages: Arabic, English, and Spanish.
According to the decision, Al Mayadeen is said to "harm national security."
