The representative of the Lebanese Minister of Information, Mesbah al-Ali, stated in his address, "The occupation aimed at suppressing the indisputable truth that Israel initiated the aggression [on the Gaza Strip]."

"Israel aimed to conceal its massacres and atrocities from the world by banning Al Mayadeen," al-Ali stated, pointing to the fact that solidarity with the news outlet aids the proliferation of factual content and prevents the distortion of the truth.

He affirmed, "Al Mayadeen will continue to shine despite the [ill-intentioned] will of the Israeli occupation."
