Southern Lebanon witnessed an escalation in Israeli airstrikes on Monday afternoon, as Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids targeting multiple areas in the Nabatieh and Jezzine governorates, amid intense aerial activity.
Al Mayadeen’s correspondent reported that Israeli aircraft carried out simultaneous strikes on the outskirts of the towns of al-Ayshiyya, al-Mahmoudiyya, Barghuz, and al-Dimashqiyya, before launching renewed strikes minutes later on the outskirts of al-Ayshiyya—an indication that military operations in the area are ongoing.

In the same context, our correspondent in the south confirmed that Israeli aircraft also targeted the area between the towns of Houmine al-Fawqa, Azze, and Deir al-Zahrani, in addition to the Bsaliya area in the Iqlim al-Tuffah region, and the towns of Ansar and al-Zrariyya, where three consecutive airstrikes were recorded.
The strikes also hit the al-Brij area on the outskirts of the town of Jbaa, causing plumes of smoke to rise from multiple locations.
Details regarding casualties or material damage remain unknown due to the continued presence of hostile aircraft in the skies.
