'Israel' obstructed arrival of fuel to northern Gaza: UNRWA
The UNRWA report on the situation in the Gaza Strip confirms the challenging humanitarian conditions, particularly in the north, making it difficult for humanitarian aid to reach the people.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) report on the situation in the Gaza Strip highlighted that the Israeli occupation authorities prohibited the delivery of fuel to the areas north of the Gaza Valley.
The report, published on November 25, indicated that around 1.7 million people, constituting approximately 80 percent of the population, have been displaced throughout the Gaza Strip since October 7.
UNRWA reported that over one million displaced people are currently residing in 156 UNRWA facilities across all five governorates of the Gaza Strip, including in the north. The report added that about 927,000 displaced Palestinians reside in 99 facilities in the central, Khan Yunis, and Rafah regions.
As of October 12, 2023, as per the report, about 160,000 displaced individuals were housed in 57 UNRWA schools in the northern and Gaza regions, before the issuance of evacuation orders by the Israeli authorities. It emphasized that UNRWA is unable to access these shelters to provide assistance or protection to the displaced and lacks information about their needs and circumstances.
Regarding UNRWA workers in the Gaza Strip, it stated, "As of November 25, 108 fellow UNRWA workers have lost their lives since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on Gaza," noting that UNRWA was able to verify the occurrence of 99 incidents in 77 UNRWA facilities since the beginning of the war.

Among the affected facilities, as per the report, 27 were directly hit, and 50 experienced collateral damage.
Since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, the UNRWA report indicates that at least 218 displaced individuals who sought refuge in UNRWA schools have lost their lives, and a minimum of 894 others have been reported injured.
The temporary 4-day truce between the Israeli occupation and the resistance in Gaza has reached its fourth day, marking 49 days since the commencement of the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.
As per the truce agreement, three Palestinian prisoners, including women and children, are set to be released for every Israeli prisoner. Over the four days, 50 Israeli prisoners—comprising women and children under the age of nineteen—will be released, reciprocated by the release of 150 Palestinian prisoners.
The truce will encompass a ceasefire, the cessation of military actions, and a complete halt to enemy aircraft flying in the southern Gaza Strip. Additionally, there will be a complete suspension of flights for six hours a day, from 10 am to 4 pm, in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip.
