'Israel's' extensive aggression continues, martyrs in Beirut
The Israeli occupation continues its aggressive war on Lebanon, with warplanes conducting intense raids on southern Beirut and the heart of the capital overnight, resulting in more martyrs, injuries, and destruction.
The Israeli occupation forces have relentlessly continued their aggressive campaign against Lebanon for the 11th consecutive day, launching a series of intensive raids on the southern suburbs and the capital, Beirut, at dawn Thursday.
The aggression resulted in a number of martyrs, injuries, and widespread destruction, further exacerbating the humanitarian crisis in the region. According to Lebanese sources, Israeli aircraft and naval vessels executed approximately 20 airstrikes on the Southern Suburb of Beirut during the night.
The raids targeted key strategic locations, including the Sayyed Hadi Highway, the Jamous Street intersection, a building next to Hadi Stadium, and the al-Arid Street building.
Various areas in Haret Hreik were targeted, and so were locations near the Martyr Mahmoud Q'aiq School and the Imam al-Mujtaba Complex in Saint Therese. Moreover, additional strikes were reported opposite the Jamous Street intersection, according to the National News Agency.
Additionally, Al Mayadeen's correspondent in the Southern Suburb reported that "two Israeli airstrikes specifically targeted the Chiah area at dawn."
Israeli raid on Beirut
Meanwhile, an Israeli airstrike struck the al-Bashoura area in the heart of Beirut overnight Wednesday, tragically resulting in the killing of seven paramedics and injuring several others affiliated with the Islamic Health Association.
Lebanese sources confirmed that this assault involved the use of internationally banned phosphorus bombs by the occupying forces, raising serious concerns about violations of international humanitarian law.
The association announced this morning that seven of its personnel were killed in the Israeli attack.
Ongoing aggression on Southern Lebanon, Bekaa Valley
In the Bekaa Valley, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the Israeli occupation forces conducted airstrikes at dawn on the heights of Massa, located on the outskirts of Nabi Sheet. The raids targeted the town of Ali al-Nahri, as well as the city of Hermel and the town of Harfoush in the Baalbek region.
Meanwhile, in South Lebanon, the Israeli occupation Air Force conducted continuous artillery shelling targeting the town of Kfar Kila for over an hour on Wednesday night.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the sounds of explosions and artillery fire persists in several villages along the Lebanese-Palestinian border, while sirens continue to wail in the occupied territories. Our correspondent reported that "Israeli artillery has been continuously shelling the towns of Khiam and Arnoun in southern Lebanon."
The National News Agency reported that "artillery shelling also struck the Litani River in the Khardali area, while occupation aircraft launched two airstrikes on the region between al-Hawsh and a-Burj al-Shamali, as well as at the entrance to al-Bazourieh."
Additionally, it was noted that the al-Risalah Association for Medical Relief has begun clearing the rubble and debris obstructing the roads as a result of the airstrike carried out by Israeli warplanes on the Ain Baal road.
On another note, since Wednesday morning, the Israeli army has been attempting to carry out a ground invasion into southern Lebanon but has encountered fierce resistance from Hezbollah. During this confrontation, Hezbollah reportedly killed eight Israeli soldiers, including officers, and wounded dozens within just a few hours.
In contrast, sirens continue to wail at an unprecedented rate across occupied Palestine, following heavy missile, drone, and artillery fire from Hezbollah targeting military sites and settlements. This escalation occurs amidst a strict Israeli blackout on reporting human and material losses.
