Iran’s top military official declared that Iran has decisively repelled the recent aggression by “Israel” and the United States, asserting that Iran emerged with the upper hand against both adversaries during the latest confrontation.
In a statement on Thursday, the Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, said, "Iran imposed its will on the United States and the Zionist entity in the latest war." He commended the armed forces for their resolute and courageous response, stating that Iran targeted key enemy military, strategic, and research centers and “turned them to ash.”
Mousavi further affirmed the losses suffered by the Israeli entity, which imposed a strict censorship regime on footage, stressing, "The losses were significant and extended across the entire entity, from north to south." He noted that the much-touted enemy air defense systems failed to shield the occupation, leaving settlers with no refuge other than shelters.
Regarding Iran’s response to the American assault on its nuclear facilities, the top Iranian commander said the retaliation was a clear demonstration of Tehran’s iron resolve to confront any aggressor.
Mousavi concluded with a stern warning, “If the enemies commit another strategic mistake, they will be cast into the dustbin of history.”
Iran to forcefully respond to any Israeli, US aggression: IRGC chief
Similarly, the Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guard Corps, Major General Mohammad Pakpour, warned that Iran will not hesitate to retaliate firmly against any aggression from “Israel” or the US.
"If the enemy makes a mistake, we will respond forcefully, just as we have over the past 12 days," he said on Wednesday.
The Iranian major general further stated that Iran’s leadership has never placed trust in “this brutal enemy,” emphasizing that trust will never be an option and that defending national sovereignty is a non-negotiable duty.
Pakpour, former Commander of the IRGC Ground Forces, had been appointed as the new Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, following the martyrdom of Major General Hossein Salami on the first day of the Israeli aggression on Iran.Q
