Salami praised the "strategic role of the Popular Mobilization Forces, in the Iraqi people's victory over ISIS and achieving security and stability in Iraq," expressing his hope that "the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Forces will evolve as a resistance force with high morals and deep faith."
He also stressed that "the PMF, with its characteristics and specifications, is the guarantor of continuing to confront terrorism in the future of Iraq," considering that the secret of success of the resistance and the PMF is unity, cohesion, and connection with the people," calling for "preserving society from the psychological war of the enemies, and not neglecting their schemes."
Addressing Al-Fayyad, Salami continued, "We at the resistance front stand by you, support you, and we hope that the Iraqi parliament's decision to withdraw US forces from Iraqi territory will be enforced."
Faleh al-Fayyad, for his part, expressed gratitude for the Iranian people's and Revolutionary Guards' support for the Iraqi people in their fight against terrorism, praising the efforts of the Quds Force commander, martyr Lieutenant-General Qassem Soleimani, who " inspired the establishment of the Popular Mobilization Forces, and therefore the presence of these forces today is indebted to the efforts of the two martyrs, Soleimani and Mahdi Al Mohandis."
Al-Fayyad added, " the enemy had imagined that the blessed tree of resistance and the Population Mobilization Forces would die with the martyrdom of Soleimani and Al-Mohandis, but thanks to God and the blood of the martyrs, the resistance grew and took the most important decision to expel the American forces from Iraq."
