Three Palestinians were injured on Thursday after Israeli occupation forces demolished a home in the northern West Bank city of Nablus and razed another in Ramallah, amid growing tensions and resistance across the occupied territories.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent, its medical teams dealt with three injuries in the town of al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah. Two Palestinians were wounded by rubber-coated metal bullets, while a 75-year-old woman was physically assaulted by occupation soldiers during the raid.
Eyewitnesses reported confrontations between residents and Israeli forces, following the demolition of a Palestinian home in Ramallah. Tensions have continued to rise amid repeated incursions, demolitions, and acts of violence by occupation forces throughout the West Bank.
Resistance movements call for escalation
In response to the increasing aggression, both the Hamas movement and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad called for an escalation of confrontation against the occupation, specifically denouncing the expansion of illegal settlements in the West Bank.
The latest wave of demolitions and violent raids has further galvanized calls for widespread resistance among Palestinian factions, as "Israel" intensifies its military operations across the occupied territories.
Mass protest and strike in Bir al-Saba'
Meanwhile, the city of Bir al-Saba' witnessed a large-scale demonstration and a general strike on Thursday. Residents protested the ongoing demolition and displacement policies carried out by Israeli authorities in the villages of the Naqab region.
The strike comes amid broader outrage across the Palestinian territories and among Arab communities inside "Israel" over systematic efforts to uproot Palestinian populations, destroy homes, and expand settlement infrastructure.
'Israel' defies law, approves 22 illegal West Bank settlements
The Israeli Security Cabinet has secretly approved the establishment of 22 illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank, Israeli media reported.
According to Ynet, the Cabinet “secretly approved two weeks ago the establishment of 22 settlements in Judea and Samaria."
The decision, which was reportedly made two weeks ago, includes plans to re-establish the illegal settlements of Homesh and Sa-Nur, both dismantled during the 2005 unilateral “disengagement plan” from the Gaza Strip. The settlements are to be built in the region "Israel" refers to as “Judea and Samaria,” a biblical designation for the West Bank rejected by international bodies.
