42 Ukrainian UAVs downed over Russia: Russian Defense Ministry
The Russian Defense Ministry says that out of the 42 Ukrainian drones, 33 were suppressed while the other 9 were shot down.
The Russian Defense Ministry announced in a statement that 42 Ukrainian drones attacked Crimea, early on Friday morning, and underscored that Russia managed to suppress 33 of them using electronic warfare systems while the other 9 were shot down by air defenses.
"The Kiev regime's attempt to carry out terrorist attacks by aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles on the territory of the Russian Federation was thwarted this night," the defense ministry noted.
Moreover, the ministry statement underscored that "A total of 42 UAVs were detected by air defense systems," adding that "Nine UAVs were destroyed, 33 were suppressed by electronic warfare systems and crashed without reaching the target over the territory of the Republic of Crimea."
In turn, Mikhail Razvozhayev, the Sevastopol governor, said that early on Friday Ukrainian drones were destroyed in the vicinity of Cape Chersonese.

In a Telegram post, Razvozhayev said "According to the preliminary information, several UAVs have been destroyed over the sea near Cape Chersonese. Emergency services have not recorded any damage to civilian infrastructure. The city is quiet now. But all forces and services are in a state of combat readiness."
Also yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that Russia has successfully thwarted a Ukrainian drone attack targeting the Bryansk and Kaluga regions. According to the statement, Russia destroyed three unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) during the overnight attack.
"This night, an attempt by the Kiev regime to carry out terrorist attacks by aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles was thwarted," the Russian ministry said, adding that "two UAVs were destroyed by air defense systems over the territory of the Bryansk Region. Another Ukrainian drone was detected and destroyed by air defense systems above the Kaluga Region."
