Iranian Intelligence Minister Sayyed Esmaeil Khatib has revealed that over 50 foreign spy agencies provided direct support to the Israeli entity during its unprovoked June attack on Iran. Speaking in Shahrekord on Wednesday, Khatib described the aggression as part of a broader intelligence and hybrid war effort, which ultimately failed due to the vigilance and resilience of Iranian intelligence and armed forces.
Khatib said the collective strength of the Iranian people, their unity, and the capabilities of Iran’s security and defense institutions led to a decisive victory over both "Israel" and the United States, despite a full-scale intelligence war waged by what he described as an “intelligence NATO”.
The war began on June 13, when "Israel" launched an unprovoked, 12-day war targeting military, nuclear, and residential areas across Iran. In response, Iran’s IRGC Aerospace Force launched a powerful counteroffensive under Operation True Promise 3, executing 22 waves of missile strikes that inflicted significant damage on cities across the occupied Palestinian territories.
In parallel, Iran’s forces also responded to direct US involvement by targeting three nuclear facilities in Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan that were struck by American forces on June 22.

US involvement, regional escalation
The Iranian intelligence minister noted that the enemy’s objectives during the 12-day war were aimed at destabilizing the country and orchestrating a regime overthrow through a hybrid war. This included coordinated military attacks, psychological operations, cyber warfare, and the attempted infiltration of Takfiri elements from Syria and Afghanistan into Iranian territory.
In retaliation for the US strikes, Iranian forces also fired missiles at Al-Udeid Air Base in Qatar, the largest American military installation in West Asia, in what was described as a direct message of deterrence.
The hostilities concluded on June 24, when a ceasefire agreement was implemented following Iran’s firm and rapid military response. Despite the scale of the aggression and the vast resources deployed by multiple intelligence entities backing "Israel", Iran’s defense and intelligence apparatus prevented further escalation and safeguarded national sovereignty.
