In the past 24 hours, hospitals in Gaza have received 51 new martyrs, including 11 whose bodies were recovered, along with 115 injuries. The relentless Israeli aggression continues to devastate the region, overwhelming medical facilities already struggling to cope with the influx of casualties.
A significant number of victims under rubble in Gaza remain unreachable, trapped beneath collapsed buildings and on roadways. Ambulance and civil defense teams have been unable to access many of these areas due to the intensity of ongoing attacks and destruction.
The total Gaza death toll update now stands at 52,243 martyrs and 117,639 injuries since the beginning of the Israeli aggression on October 7, 2023. An additional 697 martyrs have been added to the official count following confirmation by the judicial committee overseeing notifications and missing persons cases.
Since March 18, 2025, "Israel" has killed 2,151 martyrs and 5,598 injured, underscoring the ongoing humanitarian catastrophe. Casualties continue to rise amid Israeli aggression in Gaza, as daily reports from hospitals highlight the mounting toll and the suffering of civilians under siege.
'Israel' continues war on Palestinian journalism
Earlier today, the Palestinian Journalists' Syndicate disclosed alarming findings on the condition of press freedom in Palestine, documenting widespread violations committed by the Israeli occupation during the first three months of 2025.
The report highlights a brutal and systematic campaign against Palestinian journalists, marked by lethal attacks, arrests, and the destruction of property.
According to data from the syndicate’s Freedom Committee, 15 journalists were martyred in the Gaza Strip as a result of direct targeting by the Israeli occupation forces: Seven in January and eight in March 2025. Alongside the targeting of media workers, 17 family members and relatives of journalists were also killed. Additionally, 12 journalists' homes were destroyed in missile and artillery strikes, while 11 journalists sustained severe injuries.
The targeting of journalists did not stop at physical attacks. The report documented 49 incidents in which press crews came under live fire, with death narrowly avoided. These attacks were often carried out under the pretext of issuing warnings or clearing journalists from specific areas, underscoring the deliberate nature of the occupation’s strategy to silence media voices.
