Lebanese MP Hassan Fadlallah, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in parliament, stated on Thursday that "halting the violations against Lebanon must be a national priority and a central focus of the government's agenda."
During a speech in Parliament, Fadlallah emphasized that Lebanese citizens "are enduring Israeli attacks and are calling on the state to play an active and effective role."
He underscored the importance of a serious and meaningful discussion that centers on the facts surrounding Israeli assaults, strategies to confront them, and the path to liberating the land, adding that "While we remain unaffected by the leaks, our stance is clear: Lebanon’s issue lies in the occupation and the violation of our sovereignty."
Fadlallah further explained that "the party’s priority is to ensure Lebanon remains strong and protected, and to establish a just state capable of implementing reforms."
He also highlighted that "some are working to erode the foundational principles of Lebanon as a nation of diversity and partnership, and they do not hesitate to target the unity of state institutions."
Fadlallah's comments come amid growing tensions between Lebanon and the Israeli occupation, which continues to breach the ceasefire with its attacks on the South, the Bekaa Valley, and most recently, the Southern Suburb of Beirut, marking a serious violation of the agreement.
Hezbollah stated that it is giving the Lebanese state an opportunity, but has warned, through Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem, that the Resistance "will have no choice but to pursue other options if Israel fails to fully adhere to the agreement, and if the Lebanese state is unable to achieve the desired political outcomes."
