Exclusive: Hamas did not receive ceasefire proposals in Cairo meeting
Hamas representative in Lebanon, Ahmad Abdel Hadi confirms that there is nothing new in the ceasefire negotiations, and indicates that Netanyahu wants partial agreements that perpetuate the occupation.
The Palestinian Resistance Hamas's representative in Lebanon, Ahmad Abdel Hadi, confirmed that they were not offered any proposals or anything else, indicating that it is merely Israeli rumors.
Speaking to Al Mayadeen on Wednesday, Abdel Hadi pointed out that "there was no Zionist offer during the Hamas delegation's visit to Cairo, nor any new suggestions for us to study," noting that any descriptions of a positive outcome were of American, European, and regional end.
"They think that the Resistance will submit to the enemy's conditions," he added, stressing that while Hamas is keen on ending the aggression and massacres, it rejects any partial ceasefire through which the enemy would resume its aggression. He also emphasized the necessity for the occupation to withdraw completely from Gaza.
Abdel Hadi stressed that Benjamin Netanyahu wants partial agreements that will perpetuate the occupation and strip the Resistance of its cards.
The faith is in the Resistance and the steadfastness of the Palestinian people, who are aware of the real goals of this occupation and realize that it is deceptive, said the Hamas representative.
Regarding the agreement between the movement and Fatah in establishing a committee to manage the Gaza Strip, Abdel Hadi expressed that the movement was counting on the "rapid formation of the community support committee in Gaza and closing the door on any plans related to the day after."
He added "We count on our brothers in the Fatah movement to continue working to form this committee," and hoped that what was heard about Fatah's rejection of the committee's proposal was untrue, adding that "We are waiting for a meeting of the factions to be held to discuss the issue."
