UNRWA advisor to Al Mayadeen: Over 70 UNRWA locations targeted
UNRWA's media advisor in the Gaza Strip, Adnan Abu Hasna, confirms that the IOF targeted UNRWA schools and institutions despite having been informed of all their locations.
The media advisor to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) in the Gaza Strip, Adnan Abu Hasna, confirmed, Monday, that the number of displaced people throughout the Strip has reached about 1.7 million people since the beginning of the Israeli aggression.
In his interview with Al Mayadeen, Abu Hasna added that the number of displaced people in UNRWA schools has reached about 900,000 and that there are hundreds of thousands in the streets with no place for shelter, adding that 104 UNRWA workers have been martyred since "Israel" launched its attack on the Strip.
Meanwhile, he explained that more than 70 institutions and schools affiliated with the UN Relief Agency were targeted by Israeli occupation missiles, stressing that these centers were flying the United Nations flag.
Even more, Abu Hasna confirmed that UNRWA has already informed the occupation of the coordinates of its agency’s centers and schools, yet despite that, they are being targeted, and this attests to the validity of the claim that there is no safe place in Gaza.

People forced to drink contaminated water
The UNRWA media advisor further said that fuel in Gaza has been insufficient, noting that there is a need for 120,000 liters per day, and only 60,000 liters enter the Strip on a daily basis.
Abu Hasna also explained that the lack of fuel will impact operations across the Strip, such as sewage plants, for example, and will result in untreated sewage being pumped into the streets increasing the threat of the spread of epidemics.
Moreover, Abu Hasna stressed that people being forced to drink contaminated water has also caused the spread of diseases such as diarrhea, headaches, and intestinal infections, even expressing fear of the spread of cholera.
In his address, he also discussed foodstuffs, emphasizing that due to the cold weather, food aid and clothes must be brought in since the stores are running out of these items, and prices have skyrocketed.
