Al-Arouri: Next confrontation with Israeli occupation a turning point
In an interview for Al Mayadeen, the Hamas official says the 11-day war on Gaza in May 2021 was a prelude to a long war that the resistance is prepared for.
The deputy head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, Saleh Al-Arouri, confirmed that "Israel" preventing Palestinian worshipers from reaching the Al-Aqsa during the month of Ramadan will open the gates of hell.
In an interview for Al Mayadeen, Al-Arouri stressed that any Israeli aggression against the worshipers in Al-Aqsa will lead to further escalation, noting that it is time for "Israel" to know that Al-Quds, the holy sites, and the Al-Aqsa Mosque are a red line.
Commenting on the prisoners' hunger strike, he added that Hamas informed the relevant parties that there would have been an escalation in the occupied territories in the event that prisoners carried on with their hunger strike up to and throughout the month of Ramadan.
Resistance is ready for any battle
Al-Arouri pointed out that the Israeli occupation may resort in the coming period to reduce tension because it realizes that the post-Seif Al-Quds phase is different.
He stressed that the resistance is ready for any battle that "Israel" imposes on Palestinians, noting that the 11-day war on Gaza in May 2021 was a prelude to a long war that the resistance is prepared for.
The Hamas official told Al Mayadeen that the next confrontation with the Israeli occupation for the sake of occupied Al-Quds will be more popular and official and will constitute a turning point in the history of the war with the occupation.
Al-Arouri vowed that "the West Bank will blast in the face of the occupation if a battle takes place, affirming that the West Bank and Al-Quds are ready to rise again."
Normalization with "Israel", aggression against Palestine
He pointed out that the occupation discovered that it lacked societal security after it found itself facing the Palestinian people in the occupied lands in 1948.
The official also touched on Arab regimes normalizing ties with "Israel", stressing that any step towards legitimizing the Israeli entity and cooperating with it is considered an aggression against the Palestinian people.
Al-Arouri indicated that "Israel" is turning into an ally for some Arab regimes in defense of self-interest, rejecting any Arab or Islamic rapprochement with the occupation, whether by Turkey, Qatar, or any other country.
Continuous, declared, and undeclared meetings with Hezbollah
Regarding Hamas' relation with Lebanese Hezbollah, Al-Arouri confirmed to Al Mayadeen that there are continuous, declared, and undeclared meetings between the two sides, adding that there are serious dialogues and cooperation with several other movements and countries.
The deputy head of the political bureau of Hamas stressed that people should take into consideration the statement of the Secretary-General of Hezbollah Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah that any Israeli assault on Al-Quds means a "regional war."
